Youth Flash Newsletter, February 2015

Youth Flash February 2015 New
Focus: This issue of Youth Flash features the article "Bridging the gap: youth inclusivity and the post-2015 development agenda" written by Jilt van Schayik, a graduate of Fontys University of Applied Science in the Netherlands and a Dutch Youth Delegate to the 69th session UN General Assembly. He describes his experiences with young people ranging from people infected with HIV in Nairobi to rebuilding local fishing communities in the Philippines. These experiences led Jilt and fellow youth leaders to launch the Building Bridges project, a journey by bicycle from Amsterdam to Cape Town aimed at exploring the youth perspective from a grassroots level. This issue of the newsletter also spotlights the Fifty-Third Session of the Commission for Social Development (CSocD53) at the United Nations, and provides updates on youth-related activities, including that of the United Nations Inter-agency Network on Youth Development (IANYD)
