The United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) is an advisory body to the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), with a mandate to discuss indigenous issues related to economic and social development, culture, the environment, education, health and human rights.

This year the theme was on “Post 2015 Agenda: Ensuring indigenous peoples health and well-being”. The State of the World's Indigenous Peoples, Vol. II Health was also launched.
The event was organized by the Secretariat of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (DSPD/DESA) and the Department of Public Information with the participation of indigenous peoples, Member States, UN agencies and the general public.
