52nd Session,11 - 21 February 2014, New York

The Fifty-Second Session of the Commission for Social Development (CSocD52) will take place from  11 - 21 February 2014 at United Nations Headquarters in New York.

The priority theme is "Promoting empowerment of people in achieving poverty eradication, social integration and full employment and decent work for all".  This year will be devoted to the policy segment of the cycle.

The priority theme for the 2015-2016 review and policy cycle would be “Rethinking and strengthening social development in the contemporary world”.

bulletCivil Society Forum, 10 February in Conference Room 4 (NLB) organized by UNDESA-DSPD, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and the NGO Committee for Social Development. The theme this year is “The Role of Civil Society: Empowerment for Inclusive and Transformative Development” .
